How to use this page

Three quick steps before you open your proof gallery.

Drag the slider

Slide the handle left and right on any sample, or tap the Before and After buttons underneath, to compare the unedited proof with the final edit.

Notice what changes

Look at the backdrop, the floor, the colour, and the light. None of that needs to be perfect in a proof, because it all gets finished in the edit.

Choose on what matters

Head back to your proof gallery and pick the images with the best pose, shape, and expression. The edit takes care of the rest.

Proof versus final

A proof is a straight-from-camera frame. A final is the same moment, finished.

What you see in a proof

  • The frame as it came out of the camera
  • Backdrop edges and floor lines still visible
  • Colour and exposure as shot
  • Every pose and expression from your session, so you can choose

What you get in a final

  • Colour and exposure refined image by image
  • Selective masking to balance light on the athlete
  • A seamless finish with a clean backdrop and continuous floor
  • An image that is ready to print, frame, and share

Before and after

Drag the handle across each image. The left side is the unedited proof and the right side is the final edit.

Standard edits

What every edited image in your session gets: colour, exposure, selective masking, and a seamless studio finish.

Advanced composites

A more involved edit, where parts of the shot are combined or rebuilt so the final image goes beyond what a single frame can capture.

What goes into an edit

Each included edit is worked on individually. Nothing is run through a preset or batch filter, which comes to around ten minutes of hands-on editing per image.

Colour and exposure

Each image is balanced on its own so skin tones, leotard colours, and brightness look natural and consistent.

Selective masking

Light is shaped on the athlete and the background separately, so the focus stays on the gymnast and the lines of the pose.

Seamless studio finish

Backdrop cleanup and a continuous floor, so there are no visible seams, edges, or distractions behind your athlete.

Final check

Every image is reviewed before it goes into your final gallery, ready to download and print.

The edit builds on the moment that was photographed. It refines the light, the finish, and the background, so the pose, shape, and expression you choose from your proofs are what you will see in the final.

Choosing from your proofs

Three things worth looking for as you scroll through your gallery.

Shape and position

Clean lines, strong positions, and a pose that looks the way your athlete wants it to look.

Expression

Confident, relaxed, and recognizably them. A great expression carries an image.

Variety

A mix of poses, backdrops, and moments gives you a set of finals that feel different from one another.

Questions

Yes. Every included edit gets the same individual processing you see here: colour, exposure, selective masking, and a seamless studio finish. The sliders show what the same treatment does to a proof straight out of the camera.
Proofs are unedited and shown as they came out of the camera, so you can judge pose, shape, and expression. The backdrop, floor, colour, and light are all refined in the edit, which is why a proof can look flatter or less finished than the final.
No. Backdrop cleanup and a continuous floor are part of the seamless studio finish on every edited image, so you can ignore seams and floor lines when you choose. Focus on the athlete.
Look for clean positions and shapes, a confident expression, and a pose that feels like your athlete. Those are the things the edit builds on and can't change after the fact.
Spotlight sessions include 3 edited images, Performance sessions include 5, and Dual-Athlete sessions include 11 (5 per athlete plus 1 shared image).
Yes. Once you've picked your included edits, you can add more from your proof gallery at a reduced rate. Pricing comes with your gallery, and there's no deadline to decide.
